Ep. 21: Make ReTHUGliQans Cower from YOUR Political Power

--

Yesterday morning, the JFK Library tweeted a photo of an early 1963 newspaper article with the headline “Negro Family On Way Here.” The post on the tweet reads, To embarrass Northern liberals and humiliate Black people, southern White Citizens Councils started their so-called “Reverse Freedom Rides,” giving Black people one-way tickets to northern cities with false promises of jobs, housing, and better lives.

Well, isn’t that what the ReTHUGliQan governors from Texas and Florida are doing? The bastards. Morally depraved and utterly repulsive. Those RETHUGliQans may be wearing business suits rather than white sheets, but we see clearly their disgusting, bigoted, unAmerican selves just the same.

News article from 1963 with the headline “Negro Family On Way Here.” This was posted on the JFK Library Twitter account.

While some lament that the more things change the more they stay the same, there are important differences between 1963 and today. First, we know about these things rather quickly because of social media and the Internet, and by “we,” I mean all over the nation and even the planet.

Equally important to knowing about these horrifying things is to know how to wield our political power to stop it.

You see, ReTHUGliQans do these things, first of all, because they are in positions of political power, but also because they expect you and me to fail at wielding our political power that stops this.

The good news is that you and I do have political power — and it is important for you to know how to wield it in a way that we have these MAGA-type, MAGA-ts, let’s just call them MAGAT ReTHUGliQans … that we have these MAGAT ReTHUGliQans cowering in the corner, fearful for the punishments that we impose upon them because of their unAmerican actions born of bigotry and hatred, greed and lust for power, control, and domination.

The political power I’m talking about is the power of the ballot and the actions that each of us take to power up the campaigns of our Democratic candidates so that we can elect into public office and shove these MAGAT ReTHUGliQans out of office.

What ReTHUGliQans count on is our historical failure to wield the political power that each of us possesses at the tips of our tongues, tips of our fingers, and bottoms of our feet.

What I mean by that is doing the election campaign work that makes all the difference in the world.

Talking with targeted voters either door-to-door or on the phone. Get it? Tips of our tongues, tips of our fingers … phone calls.

Tips of our tongues, bottoms of our feet — that action is door knocking, talking with neighbors.

Person-to-person contact is critically important to any winning election.

For this reason, I have created a few podcasts and videos that take away the mystery of these tasks and provide you with a paint-by-number approach to them so you understand what you’ll be doing and set your expectations on how things will play out.

All of these tasks come right out of my own professional election experience and expertise gained from four-decades on the political frontlines around the nation. These are battle-tested and highly effective for winning elections.

Ready? Here we go.

Want to know how to use your cell phone to identify voters who will cast their ballots for our Democratic candidates? Great! Listen to Episode 3: Cell Phone Activism! It’s something you can do from wherever you are in the nation. You can do it by yourself at home or with your friends. I think doing it with friends is more fun, but whatever you choose is fine with me.

Want to know the steps — literally, the steps — to walking and talking to neighbors? Wonderful! Listen to Episode 9, and it’s titled “Walking & Talking to Neighbors.”

What about turbo-charging the chatter on the ground to create the BIG MO — Momentum — for our Democratic candidates? You know, talking up our candidates. Helping folks feel the pride in supporting winners. Oh, I got you covered, honey . Listen to Episode 4.

What about that voter protection stuff that we need? I got you covered there, too, baby doll. Listen to Episode 14.

On my website — sassypoliticalcoach.com, I’ve even created step-by-step written instructions that you can download for these tasks.

And of course, if you or someone you know needs a little help refocusing attention on having a winning mentality, listen to Episode 2 titled “Get Your Head in the Game.” Look honey, either you have your head is in the game, focused on doing what needs to be done to win, doing it, and speaking like winners or it’s somewhere the sun fails to shine. You get my drift.

Get your head in the game. Think like winners. Talk like winners. Act like winners. That’s how we win.

OK, that ends this episode — number 21 — of Hell Hath No Fury! Thank you for reading.
